Puppy-proofing your apartment home

• Put your shoes out of reach
• Install baby gates to keep the puppy out of rooms you don’t want it to be in
• Keep your garbage locked up or off the floor
• Remove tablecloths; a quick pull on these can bring everything down from the table
• Remove throw rugs that have fringes
• Use anti-chew spray on furniture to keep the puppy from chewing on them
• Run electrical cords under the carpet or behind furniture or where possible to keep them out of reach

Investigate your apartment thoroughly. Many things that you wouldn’t notice could cause serious injury, or fatal, if your puppy gets to it and starts chewing. It pays off to spend some time puppy proofing your apartment.
