Lincoln Property Company was founded in 1965 for the purpose of building and operating quality residential communities. Development activity consisted of garden apartments, primarily in Texas and the southwestern United States. Lincoln partners were the sole financial investors in these original residential developments. The need for experienced, professional property management was recognized during these early years. In the process of managing our own development properties, we began attracting, training and organizing the nucleus of our present property management group. As Lincoln began to grow and prosper, we expanded into other major areas of the United States helping those looking for new places to live find apartments to rent.

A way for Lincoln employees to help each other.

The charity is intended to help Lincoln employees when they are faced with a catastrophic, life-changing event such as a house fire, natural disaster, or sudden, unexpected death of a spouse. It is a way for Lincoln employees to help each other. Lincoln Charities, Inc. is the only official charity of Lincoln Property Company, Lincoln Military Housing, and Grand Campus Living. 

A large percentage of Lincoln employees donate to the charity via voluntary automatic payroll deductions each pay period. 

Communities managed by Lincoln Property Company are encouraged to host fun, creative, team-building fundraisers. Some past fund raisers included a float down the river in New Braunfels, TX, a golf tournament at Camp Pendleton, CA, a karaoke contest in Atlanta, a mustache growing contest in Houston, an auction of fitness center equipment in Herndon, VA, and a book drive in Dallas. Vendors, business partners, and residents are also great contributors to the charity. 

Lincoln Charities, Inc. is a 501c3 charity and all contributions are tax deductible. Employees of Lincoln Property Company, Grand Campus Living, and Lincoln Military Housing with a minimum of 2 years tenure and their dependent family members (as defined by the Family and Medical Leave A). Employees in need of assistance submit a request for assistance (found on Lincoln's intranet), which is reviewed by a committee of 10 people from all over the country.
