DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION
A Company Where Your Voice is Heard
As members of the Lincoln team, we must be intentional and live our core values each day: Integrity, Communication, Empowerment, Respect, Balance and Commitment. Together, these values have built a foundation of responsibility to our employees, our residents, and our clients. A promise to build culture, create purpose, improve cohesion, and ensure equality. Our founder, Mack Pogue, said it best, "our values are rooted in care and support for our employees, residents, and partners alike. We do not and will not tolerate racism, prejudice, or discrimination within our company or at any of our developments or communities and will remain focused on inclusion and belonging." In fact, one of Lincoln’s brand standards is, “We value inclusion and belonging and know that each neighbor is unique - wanting communication and connection in a different way.”
We are a diverse company, and that is something that we can all be proud of. Ensuring that we are also equitable and inclusive is imperative to our continued success and growth. Lincoln is committed to providing each of our team members the tools and knowledge to be intentional in demonstrating these behaviors. In 2020 we partnered with a third party Diversity & Inclusion firm, created a Diversity & Inclusion task force whose mission is to drive awareness, promote culture, evaluate training, and develop policies and procedures to promote workplace diversity and inclusion, as well as rebuilt and rolled out mandatory company-wide Diversity and Inclusion courses. This on-going curriculum will help us to: reinforce the respect we have for all individuals; maintain our diverse workplaces, ensure everyone has the opportunity to fully realize their professional goals at Lincoln, and remain competitive in the marketplace as an employer and manager of choice. As Verna Myers said, "Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance." We are committed to ensuring that Lincoln is a company where every voice is heard, respected, and valued.
